A grand function was held at the school campus on 1st December 2008 to celebrate 25 years since the foundation of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam, Muni-ki-reti, Rishikesh.
The Chief Guest, Shri Swami Ram Kripalu Dasji, and Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswatiji, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and paid a glowing tribute to the Founder of the School, H.D. Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswatiji Maharaj.
Distinguished guests, staff and students also paid homage to the Founder, Shri Swami Omkaranandaji, for his great contribution to society. To celebrate the event many cultural programmes were presented. Our tiny tots were second to none amidst great jubilations and cultural extravaganza. They presented a beautiful Barbie dance that captivated the guests and left the audience excited and full of joy.
Two small, cute announcers, Mansika and Saksham, gave an introduction of the Barbie Dance and left the people in great astonishment and admiration of their accent and clear pronunciation of the English language.
Immediately after the introduction the dance began. Everybody was surprised to see the innocent yet confident performance of the tiny tots. A boy with the guitar, named Gautam, was a centre of attraction as a result of his pleasant smile. Their costumes and make up were so impressive that everyone wanted to get a close look of them.
It was the most memorable moment of the day when many senior students pulled the little ones' cheeks with love and admiration for their enchanting presentation.
Swami Ram Kripalu Dasji praised the participants openheartedly and said that he himself had melted when he saw such vibrant performances on the stage. The Principal Col. D.L. Sachdevaji gave thanks to all.
At the end of the programme everyone enjoyed a delicious refreshment.
